Pharmacy Manager - Closed-Door LTC Pharmacy

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $75-$95/hr
Bonus: Potential 20% bonus + possible profit sharing
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9 AM-5 PM (some Saturdays)
Location: Fully on-site, West Hollywood, CA
Duration: Direct Hire

Job Summary

A closed-door Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy serving assisted living and licensed care facilities is seeking an experienced Pharmacist/Pharmacy Manager. This role requires strong knowledge of LTC pharmacy operations, and for the right candidate, there is potential to step into a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) position.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage dispensing of medications for LTC patients in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Ensure accuracy in prescription processing and medication management.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and facility staff to optimize patient care.
  • Conduct medication reconciliation for patients transitioning between care settings (e.g., SNF, acute care).
  • Maintain compliance with pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and staff.
  • Assist with inventory management and quality assurance activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of dispensing and patient interactions.

Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) Duties (if applicable):

  • Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement pharmacy policies and procedures.
  • Oversee staff training, development, and performance evaluations.
  • Manage audits, inspections, and pharmacy licensing requirements.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for regulatory agencies and facility administrators.

Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted California Pharmacist license.
  • Experience in a closed-door LTC pharmacy is required.
  • Proficiency with FrameworkLTC software is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of LTC pharmacy operations and regulations.
  • Ability to lead, manage, and optimize pharmacy workflow.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
